SM Shaikat is a passionate Bangladeshi advocate for social change and human rights, with over 15 years of experience working to uplift youth, promote democratic participation, and strengthen communities. His efforts have made an impact both in Bangladesh and around the world, earning him recognition as a leader in youth advocacy. Shaikat has been involved in global initiatives focused on empowering young people, advancing gender equality, and fostering community development. He continues to collaborate with various international organizations, leveraging his voice and influence to create a brighter future for young people and champion human rights.

About Me

SM Shaikat is a Bangladeshi social change advocate and human rights activist with over 15 years of experience promoting youth rights, democratic participation, and community development. Elected as UN-Habitat's Youth Advisor in 2015, he has been recognized globally by networks like UN Women’s 30 for 2030 and WHO's CSO Commission. A Bayer Scholar, Asia Young Leader for Democracy, and 120 Under 40 Champion, he was named a 2024 Young Global Changer Recoupling Award recipient, continuing his work in youth advocacy and rights protection in Bangladesh.
