My new article was published today in ‘Protidinor Bangladesh’: “Extending the LDC Graduation Timeline: What Bangladesh Needs to Do.”
In one section, I wrote- “The additional three years granted until 2029 is not merely an extension of a deadline. It is an opportunity for Bangladesh to solidify its foundation. It must be reiterated that these extra three years have handed us an invaluable asset-time. But time does not build readiness on its own. Readiness is built through reforms. Readiness is built through investment in people.”
LDC graduation will be an achievement for Bangladesh. However, more important than the achievement itself is how strong, competitive, and inclusive a nation we can stand as post-graduation. We have been granted three years. Now the question is—how should this time be utilized?
In your opinion, what should be Bangladesh’s most crucial preparation before 2029?
